f.o. : hey sailor!
M
This was a last winter project that I’m finally getting around to posting. My Hey Sailor! by Andrea Mowry was super addictive to knit because of the clever pattern and construction.
I love that this tshirt can be worn with the buttons in front or back making it a pretty versatile construction. I knit mine in Knitting for Olive cotton merino (this was my first time using this line from Knitting for Olive) and it was a dream to work with. The colors I chose for mine were dark sea green and cream.
To be honest, I haven’t worn this one out in the wild (what’s new?). I was planning to make an effort to add this to my wardrobe rotation this spring and fall and it hasn’t quite made it. I think perhaps it could be a bit too cropped for me to feel comfortable wearing it to work and I don’t feel like a boat neck flatters my body; I feel like the construction and its fit on my body type means I’m slouching more than I’d like when I wear this.
As always, my project notes are here. Have you made this? How do you style it?
